Hello, I have a strumski hen (bulgarian breed). It was hatched in my incubator one week ago or maybe 10 days ago. At first it was okay, no problems with the little chicken, but one day my brother told me that the hen's head was curved. I started searching for the problem and found out about the enchepalomalacia. Then I began to give the hen solution of water and selenium and vitamin E. Two days ago I saw a change in its condition and I thought it was finally recovering, but today when I got it out of its place, it couldn't stand on its feet and couldn't walk. I started feeling anxious because I saw some red marks on her foot. Please help me.

Sorry about your chick, but welcome to BYC. I would also give some thiamine which is in vitamin B complex, and also found in some egg yolk. Encephalomalacia or wry neck can also be caused by thiamine deficiency. Try feeding some wet chick feed and egg yolk with a dropper. I hope that your chick survives.

Unfortunately it died, its throat swelled and 10 minutes later it died 😭
