I just joined and am looking forward to buying a coop here before long and starting raising my own chickens. I love the idea of NOT having to go to a store to buy eggs. I will love having backyard, fresh laid chicken eggs from my own flock.

You’ve already discovered one of our favorite topics to talk about—prefab coops I don’t see your location listed but I would like to add that climate plays a big part in what kind of coop is best suited for you and whatever breeds you decide to get. It’s great that you’re doing the research and building something before you get chickens. I got my first coop and chickens at the same time and learned everything the hard way and it definitely would have been less of an uphill battle had I done it the way you are.
