Hiya, and welcome to BYC!! :frow

Temp is what causes frostbite, and humidity is the catalyst. We've dealt with it having no open water in the coop (nipple bucket) horse bedding pellets on the floor (keep coop dry) stall refresher on top of the nests where they perch, and a radiant heater that keeps the coop above freezing.

I joined because I love chickens and I want to help other people with their chickens☺️
In the past I have had so many problems with frostbite in my chickens, that now I feel I have a lot of experience with it and would like to help anyone who is having problems with it.

Welcome. You wrote an awesome introduction. Your rooster is very handsome. I love roosters BTW. A frostbite expert here will be very helpful.

No.....I have been able to treat severe frostbite though. Last Winter, one of my roosters wattles swelled up like huge balloons, and it was so scary but thankfully he got through it.
