Betty stole my heart before I could even tell her apart form her siblings, lol. After a couple days, I put a leg band on her to see if it was in my head, or if there really was one chick that was friendlier than the others. I would put my arm in to do this or that, and she'd insist on climbing up my arm, perching on my shoulder, and just examining me and chattering. Now we have this nighttime ritual where she sits in my lap and eats freshly-picked greens out of my hand and dozes off in the crook of my arm, and when I close up the coop, she's there by the door waiting for one last chest scratch, and I say, "You're perfect, I love you, good night." That's not to say I won't eat her someday, but probably not for a while!

One of them is named Norma (short for Normal) just because the other three had earned nicknames and it just felt weird to have 3/4 chickens named, so I named her after her lack of distinguishing characteristics and will probably eat her first.
