Hello *(I'm frustrated beyond belief)

Hi Bonnie!

A friend of mine had that happen to her (Broody hens) So instead of getting three grown birds get little chicks and sneek then under her at night when she is sleeping then she will think that they are hers when she wakes up and she will love them like her own

hope that helps!

If I am wrong and it isn't hatching day what is the likelihood the chick will survive if it's egg was destroyed by the other hens? The other two egg do not have pips in them.

ClarkChickens did she keep them with her flock or separate momma and babies? Do you think this will help break her broodiness? She has been broody since the end of February and she won't snap out of it. She broods on an empty nest.

Ooh... sounds like quit the trouble! After a while, chickens will usually go back to normal, and if i were you, I would let them do their thing. Another coop would help, but barely, and sounds like a lot of money and work!
Anyway,

Welcome to BYC! We hope you enjoy it here, and if you need anything, please message me! We are glad to have you!

The flock my friend did it with was a nice flock so she did it with all the hens. If there is a aggressive hen/roster in the smoothie maybe put up a small barrio ( Mesh) for the first coule of days
