Hello! My family and I are starting to expand our poultry family into a hobby farm. We love all the info on this site from fellow folks such as you!

Currently, we have 4 red and white sex link hens, ameracaunas, blank jersey giants, barred rocks, buff orphingtons, turkens, polish, dorking, Cochin, an apenzeller spitzhauben, pekin duck, kahki cambell, rouens, Cayuga/welsh harlequin named freckles, a half blind crested duck named snoopie, some guinees, bourbon turkeys, and golden pheasants. Oh and plus one hatch crazy human mother :), so a bunch of hatching eggs to hatch raise and sell/give away.

One big poultry family that shares 11 acres with 2 horses, a mini horse, 8 goats, 4 cats and 4 dogs. All doted on by our family of 4+ (we are a foster family, which was one of the reasons we started our farm as well as the benefiting products)

So nice meeting you all and we'll see you around this site.

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Sounds like you have a Really busy farm! Good luck with the hatches coming up!

Thank you guys!
11 acres sure has it's pluses and minuses, such as the poor drainage that we are combating with ditches, a pond, and fill.
Getting the family on board was pretty easy. We all had secret dream birds. Ma's ameraucanas, dad's meat purpose cross plan(between the bpr and buff orphingons I think), brothers guineas, and my dorkings.
