Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. I think you have a pullet, but I would get a second (or third, or fourth, etc.) opinion on What Breed or Gender is This. Sometimes with these crested breeds, you don't know for sure which gender they are until they either crow or lay an egg. ) Please feel free to ask any other questions you may have. It's a very pretty bird but, I don't see any that look very silkie-ish. Silkies are very difficult to sex before 4-5 mos. of age or when they lay an egg or crow. I have no idea what influence another breed has when they are silkies mixes. I bet your surprise roos where among the silkies

Welcome to BYC jaseyboy, I'm glad you decided to join our flock. What a beautiful bird, I have 2 silkies and have no idea what sex they are so one of these days I'll be getting a surprise. Good luck with you "girls" hopefully..

X2. She's definitely not pure Silkie. She looks similar to some Silkie X Polish crosses that I've seen.
