I'm deeply in love with my 2 girls and my Handsome rooster Micaelo! I really need to know more about how to raise chickens in my backyard. I'm a beginner but I really love it, i take care of my feathery friends a lot

I bet you won't have just 3 for to long, have you heard of chicken math?? I will try to find the YouTube video explains it.. You have good layers.. But I bet you will have to add more soon!! Your rooster would agree.. He will end up tearing your girl's feathers out & they will have bald spot's.. So if I were you I would add 3 more girl's for him.. We like a pretty egg basket..

Love your egg colors. I'm assuming the eggs near the bottom of the picture are bantam and quail? What do you do with them? Our bantams just started laying tiny little eggs this past week and so far we just look at them and admire.
The bantam in the middle of your upper picture? a booted bantam? So far she lays the largest of our bantam eggs.

The first set of egg's are from our flock, the small chocolate colored ones are from jumbo quail, from another BYC memeber that is a friend & the other white ones are from a friend that rescues wild bird's for re-hab.. They are wild doves egg's. I cooked them up and feed them to our dog's. The last egg is a duck egg..
Our duck's lay just as much as our chicken's.. The egg's are so much better from our duck's...
