(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We just got week old chicks on Monday. We have 6 of them and are so excited to start this journey.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
6
(3) What breeds do you have? 3 New Hampshire and 3 Rhode island red Cross

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I'm not sure yet. The babies are very cute 😍

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I also love dogs and all other animals really! Love being outside.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My amazing husband and I have 3 great kids ages 7, 5, and 3! We also have two dogs, a bull dog mix Rosie and a Husky mix Lucy. And lastly we have a hedgehog named Marvin!

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D I searched chicken forums on Google and there you were 🙂

My girls!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
I hope you've already started building your coop and run. Chicks grow VERY fast!

My husband is an amazing builder. Whatever I dream up he builds! I guess I should give him my ideas soon! It's still so cold here, I'm worried about how quickly they'll grow and when the weather will warm up!

I started converting my shed into my new coop a little earlier than this time last year in NY when we had a real winter. You can get a lot done.
