Years ago in Ohio my Dad & I raised quite a few chickens for show. I now live in North Florida and have recently purchased a trio of Standard Old English and Standard Silver Laced Wyndotte Pullets. I'm curious, as to what time of year the birds will be most successfull in reproduction. The hens are laying quite regularly at this point, but don't seem inclined to set. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and welcome!

Your hens could go broody at any time, but things should definitely pick up for you in the spring. I have a hen right now that's setting on a dozen eggs, so you never really can tell. It's all at the whim of the hen.

Glad you are here... if you have an incubator and roosters that are doing their job, you can start getting babies in a few weeks....
