(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I got my first chickens in March of 2019
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have 7 chickens currently
(3) What breeds do you have?
I have Speckled Sussex, Cream Legbar, Legbar x White Ameraucana, Lavender Marans OR Lavender Olive Egger (Won't know till she lays, I suppose).
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I really just like watching them and spending time with them. I find them really interesting and I love genetics.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Horses, goats, pigs, crested geckos, archery, reading.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We have 3 children, 2 being in their teens. We currently have 3 dogs, 1 pig, 3 lizards, and 7 chickens. I'm and Install Coordinator for Lowe's. I was a dog groomer for 10 years. I want to move into goat milk products for retirement.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I was doing a lot of Google searches and kept ending up here.
