hello in need of info.

Hello I have a 6 month old hen and she is laying one egg every day my friend just gave me a baby chick I was wondering if it was ok to put them together.? If my hen would like foster her like one of her own babie? Good idea or no ?

I only have one chicken its a hen her name is dexster my kids named her.LOL and we love her lots She kind of acts like a dog in a way she follows us every were and she sits on our laps and even trust to come in the house. She is definitely part of our family. Now my friend brought me a baby chick its a girl and I was wondering if It would be safe to put them together. Dexster is laying eggs every day.
