hello - introduction

Hi! I'm new here. I just ordered 24 chicks and can't wait.

I grew up with layers around and broilers each summer. Just enough for our family use. We mostly bought meat kings for eating and had barred rocks or Rhode Island Reds for layers.

My husband and I just built a new house and I felt I needed some hens around the place so I decided to order and my 10 year old son insisted on Ameraucanas!

The breeder guy called today to say he had the eggs lined up and they should hatch out in 21 days.
