Hello I've just joined

Hello BackYard Chickens, it is lovely to have joined this group. Thank you. We have slowly built up our flock of girls and we now have 7 hens of various ages. We've had chickens for 4 years. Our first 2 started in Sydney and then we relocated to Melbourne so we travelled with the 2 hens in the front seat of my car in a cardboard box which I cut out a window to see them, gave them lots of seeds, watermelon and water for their journey, which kept them happy :) I look forward to being involved with this group. And yes I always have questions and hopefully I have some answers to share too. Love from Cindy and family and our flock of Beatty, Blackie, Sweetie, Love Heart, Pineapple, and two hens which have just been renamed as they are super quick and are our only 2 that can fly really well plus my 5 year old loves cars - so Car Car and Motorbike xx We have heritage breed large hens.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens Cindy

Welcome to the BYC coop. Peck a few of your fellow members and enjoy your stay

G’Day from Far North Queensland Cindy :frow Welcome!

Not much left for me to say except, I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Welcome! Because you're in Australia, I'm guessing you aren't sitting at your laptop wearing a huge coat, a fleece turtle hat, and two extra-large cats on your lap to stay warm, like I am! It's freezing here so I'm just a bit envious of your climate right now! Enjoy the site. Lots of great info and really nice members.

Thats for sure, it is summer here, your cosy inside time sounds devine though, we did have a 40'c day yesterday - so pretty hot for sure.
