Hello, Just Joined

Hello all,

I just joined today. I heard about this site from my horse trainer, who has a bunch of chickens. We have a mixed flock at our farm: Bruma rooster, and several chickens (Rhode Island Red, Americana, some kind of black speckled one, and some kind of white one. We love their eggs.
I'm really new to most things "chicken."

Today we hatched 2 Bruma-Americana chicks (I posted a pic in the Americana Pictures forum). We also have 4 mallard ducklings hatched Wed April 20.

Other stuff about me. I love riding dressage. I do mounted jousting games.

If you haven't already, check out the Learning Center. There are good articles in there whether someone is a beginning poultry-keeper or one with tons of experience.

Under the Miscellaneous Forum, you'll see "other pets/livestock" where you can share posts with other members having horses. There's also a sister site to BYC called backyardherds.com you may be interested in.
