Welcome kinswoman!

I'm a proud Polish-American, although I regret I never learned more of the language. My father's family is from the Krakow area and my mother's family is from northern Poland.

I'd say hello and ask how you're doing but while I can say it, I can't spell it

hello all

This forum is really great, so open and stuffed with information. I feel I'm addicted;)

Jak sie masz! No idea if that's spelled right, and I know there's a more formal version but have forgotten it! I'm second generation Polish-American kurka, us cousins were not taught much Polish, (they wanted us to be all American!) but our family often greets each other in Polish (the return phrase is usually dzien dobry, or they can be flipped!) and we know things like please and thank you etc.

Anyway,

Oh no kurka! That's not MY site, Suzanne McMinn is the blogger, I'm just a fan and I'm a moderator on the forum side and help out with a few things where I can on it. SHE's the talented one!!! And is she ever talented!!! Funny author, great photographer, wonderful bread and bakery, crafts and tons of interesting stories. What got me hooked on it was reading the 'crooked little house' story, it's there on the side-pane on the main page, you can click on the photo of the old white farmhouse to read it. It is fun on the forum side, not that I want to abuse BYC by drumming for Chickens In The Road. They're different kinds of sites though with different focuses, both of which I happen to enjoy.

These are the two sites I spend nearly all my on line time at! Two chicken related sites, though Suzanne's chickens are only a sideline. Right now the big topic on the blog there is canning produce and fruit and jellies. I just made some wine jelly last night. I had some leftover wine that is sweeter than I care for, so I figured I'd give it a try and it turned out great.
