I have had a few feathered friends in the past but this is a different than b4. I live in Upstate South Carolina where it has been very humid lately. Well I adopted 5 golden comets (females) when they were a week old, now they are 3 months old and I've recently started them on laying feed, scratch and snacks instead of the starter feed. I have more recently been gifted a RIR roo who is slightly older than the girls (I was told he is about 8 months) and they seem to get along great. The girls have not started laying yet, I look forward to a productive outcome when they do.
I also have Duke & Daisy (hence dndmom) They are my bantams (I believe from the RIR family) I'm not sure of their age but my female started laying about a month ago and gives us 1-2 eggs a week. I gather most of the tiny eggs but I would like a few more bantams so I have marked 4 eggs and left them in her nesting box. She sits on them occasionally but full brody she is not. My 2 questions are...is 1-2 eggs a week about average (I'm thinking she may have a few under the coop) and the 4 eggs in the nesting box, the oldest one has been in there about 3 weeks all are fully intact and have not been washed. I have candeled them and there don't appear to be any embryos (tho I am new to the candeling part) So my 2nd question is should I remove them or leave them in the nesting box?

What I'd do is mark the eggs you left for her and continue to collect the fresh ones, as she lays them. If/when she decides to go broody, replace the "bait" eggs with fresh ones for her to hatch. Hatching eggs can be stored in a cool, fairly humid place for up to 3 weeks, but after 10 days their hatchability starts to drop quite a bit daily.
