I am somewhat new to having backyard chickens. My flock of 5 mixed laying hens has turned into an obsession! I LOVE my birds. I have added some new ones to the flock. I am also fostering a very nice hen for a friend. I've also acquired a very handsome rooster. I don't have much experience in knowing my breeds. Nonetheless, I enjoy them dearly! Thanks for having me here.

Hello, welcome! I'm fairly new as well, got my first girls this spring and they just starting laying. They are awesome! Didn't know how rewarding it was to have chickens. I have 5 grown girls and just added another six chicks. Built their coop and run myself and enjoy being outside with them. This website has really helped me learn a lot about chickens, hope it helps you too!
