(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Whilst I am new to owning chickens (just a couple of months now), I used to spend my holidays on a farm as a kid, and spent a lot of time around the chickens taking care of them.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We have three hens: Foxy Brown, Violet, and Willow. We had four initially, but sadly experienced illness in our flock very early on (RIP Omlet).
(3) What breeds do you have?
They are ISA browns.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
When I've been searching on Google for specific information there are nearly always search results linking to this forum.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, reading, chasing sleep (I'm not even kidding, I work nightshift, so I'm always trying to catch up).
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I live with my partner and our 2 year old kiddo. We have a lovely elderly gentleman indoor cat. We live in an outer suburban area and grow a lot of our own veggies. I work with people experiencing homelessness, in a crisis response capacity.
