Hi everyone!
My name is Ana and I'm living in the pacific northwest!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes! This is my first time raising chickens but my husband's family used to have chickens so he is familiar.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
5
(3) What breeds do you have? I gave them names based on their breed
Black australorp - Aussie
Speckled Sussex - Suzie
California gray - Kali
New Hampshire Red Pullet - Wendy
Gold sex link - Goldie
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
You can't beat the flavor of fresh eggs! Plus you realize all the hard work those little chickens put behind every egg!!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I like baking - so that's a plus on how to use the extra eggs xD
I also enjoy the outdoors - hiking skiing etc
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I are both software engineers and we don't have any pets as of now. I will be bringing my pomeranians back to our house so let's see how that goes with the chicks!!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I've read a few threads before since this is my fist time raising chickens and I wanted to learn more about my chicks!
