Hello, my tolbunt roo, 3.5 months old woke up with curly toe today I need help!!!

Can he stand on the foot? Or does the leg seem weak? That looks like he's starting to suffer nerve damage in the sciatic nerve. The foot curls first, then the weakness works up the leg until the chicken can no long put weight on it.

Get a strong B-complex like B-100. It has the most amount of B-2, B-6, and B-12 which are all great for fighting nerve damage.

Heat can help. If you can, let him sleep under a red heat lamp at night.

What type of B2 riboflavin are you giving? I usually recommend vitamin B complex which has all B vitamins and is somewhat inexpensive. Give 1/4 tablet daily crushed in a little food or water, but not a whole lot of riboflavin is required if there is a riboflavin deficiency. Most of the time, a riboflavin deficiency will affect both feet and legs causing curled under toes and walking on hocks. A leg nerve injury or Mareks disease could be a possibility. Was he vaccinated? I would give the riboflavin, have him rest the leg, and make sure that he can reach food and water throughout the day.

I will sure try. I have a cheap B complex I’m using until my better one gets here! Thank you for the response!!

Ok, so today I go and check on him and he is standing on the top of the foot, eating and drinking and the foot feels a little warm. Now what any suggestions???
