We're so happy you've decided to join us
I am a new member and as a retired horticulturalist the next step seemed to be to get some chickens. So 3 years ago we bought a small property and got 7 beautiful chicks who have become our pets. Last year we added 2 little silkies. The girls are pretty good layers but mostly we keep them because we love them. We worked hard to build many gardens around the property and then discovered we had to fence them all to keep the chickens from destroying them. They are lucky we love them because they have cost us a lot of money and hard work diggin up my precious plants!We have learned a lot over the past few years and are constantly entertained as we watch their antics in the yard. And every time we sit down, we end up with a chicken in our laps.
