Hello, New chicken mama here. So far not too bad! April of this year I picked out my cute little chicks and started my adventure! I went big, started with an even dozen. 2 Roos and 10 hens... So I thought! LoL Turned out that my favorite, beautiful hen is an aggressive roo. 
trying to figure out what to do with him. Anyhoo, I have 2 pairs- one pair of silver laced wynadotes and one pair of australorps. Also, 6 Easter eggers, 5 hens and the "oops" rooster. And finally, one buff Orpington hen and one barred rock hen. I love the mix of my babies and it has sure been fun thus far! Even though it looks like my oops roo will have to go. I have been learning about "good yard weeds" and would love to have more suggestions on "around the house" foods!
