If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
 
Hello everyone, thanks so much for the warm welcome! I think I will post some pictures of the ladies, next time!! Pics are always fun! And I have news... one of my kids reported to me that when she went to pet a chicken this afternoon, it squatted!!! So I said, "ooohh!! thats good news- show me! "and indeed, every time she was petted she sat there in a low squat! :) Now, she couldn't catch any other ones, and I'm not into chasing the chickens...so she could just be the only one. It's our most developed one, a Buff Orpington. She has a nice red comb and big red lobes.(is that called a wattle?)

How long do you think until she lays??? Still hasnt given any attention to the boxes AT ALL so I picked her up and gentle put her into it, twice. She stayed a minute or so each time.
