At this time I’m keeping them in their pen unless I’m outside with them. My heart is broken from those loses at this time. My plan is to make a bigger enclosure that I can put netting over to avoid this in the future. I was letting them just roam and have freedom but I feel like this predator is picking my white ducks off like it’s nothing.

I’m new to owning ducks and I had 8 but recently have had a predator take 2. I have Perkins and Cayuga.

I started this because I just enjoy ducks and I’m going to be an empty nester sooner. These ducks give me so much joy to have them follow me around. Seeing their personalities is amazing to me.

We have other pets only cats and a dog and our daughter has raised show hogs for FFA.

Looking forward to learning more from this community and meeting new folks.
