Hello! New Duckling Mama

Welcome to BYC. Your duckling is likely a Muscovy, which are not native but are the descendants of escaped captive ducks. I mention it because it would be illegal to keep a wild native duckling like a Mallard.

You need a brooder with heat but plenty of space so ducky can cool down if it needs to. 90 to 95 degrees in the warmest part of the brooder for the first week, decreasing by 5 degrees every week until it is fledged. You need cool, fresh watter for drinking at all times and a feed for juvenile waterfowl. It would also be a good idea to see if you can buy another duckling to keep it company.
