Welcome to BYC! So glad you could join us!

There are appear to be two pullets and one rooster, the one in the front.

Thank you so much!!! I thought the the little one in the front was a roo :). You do think they are all barred rocks?

Yes, I think they are all Barred Rocks. Cuckoo Marans have pale colored legs and Dominiques have rosecombs instead of single combs. Pullet Barred Rocks tend to have a darker coloration to their beak, legs, and feathers, while roosters have wider white bands and brighter yellow legs.

They are nice looking chickens.

Will that roo harass my girls? I've been hearing that is all they do. All I've had is girls so I have no clue. Are there any benefits to having a rooster?

All pullets except for the roo standing tall near the feeder. How old are they? Unless you need fertile eggs for hatching or selling, there really isn't a need to have a rooster. Your hens will lay just as many eggs (though non fertile) and be a lot happier without a randy rooster after them all the time. It's your call.

Define "harass"..... Lol. Do you have any idea how old he is? If he's young yet,eventually.......yes he will mate them. And like posted before me,unless you want fertile eggs,he's kind of pointless. You could always keep him as a pet, separate from the hens, and perhaps if you decide to allow him to mate in the future, he's already available. Again as previously posted,it's up to you.
