I've been referring to this site for months but just became a member! We recently did a float test on some eggs a few that sank to the bottom we cracked open and they were alive? Why would this happen if they sank shouldn't they be dead? Please help!

From what I have read on this site float test are not all that correct. What day where the eggs on? Where they chicken eggs?

They are on day 24 and they are chicken eggs! We have had 4 hatch, last one yesterday and I'm worried my hen is going to leave the eggs. We also have two other hens that started laying so we are taking those to put in the incubator!

The two that we hatched I'm not sure I guess another hen had got into the other coop and was laying eggs in her box.
