I figured I should post here. I found this forum this morning though Google (looking up how much I should feed my bantams).
We live in a rather urban area near Fort Lauderdale yet we have 1 bantam mix hen (our vet found so we took her in), 2 Dutch(?) bantam hens, and 4 quail. (If you think that's a lot - we also have 5 (2 Belgian malinois, 1 (real) German shepherd, 1 rough collie, and a Czechoslovakian vlcak) dogs and 4 cats (2 "side of the road specials" and 2 show Siamese) inside the house!).
While my wife is the animal professional (dog trainer) somehow I've inherited the responsibility for taking care of the flock.
We got our birds for egg laying (my wife want sto show them but hasn't started yet). We did get them from a show breeder near here (I think he's up north - near Okeechobee named John?).
Other than that, not much to say about me.
