We have the liquid B-Complex, but for pills, I just open their beak and pop it in. Especially if you're using 1/4 of one of yours, as that's pretty small.thank you for the advice on the youtube posting, i didn’t even think about that! will upload the video tomorrow! and or course thanks for your input on giving her poultry call vitamins, we have probiotics to mix in the water but we can try that as well. again thanks so much for responding, will follow up with a video of how she is moving (trying) aroundit’s so sad to watch but will post on youtube and post the link asap! will also try the B-Complex pill. would we crush it up in water and give to give to her in a feeding syringe like the meds she is on? or what is your advice on how to administer the pill?
thank you for the input, we don’t believe it’s coccidiosis, our last batch of button quail contracted it and sadly we got my favorite one (little baby) passing away…on video as we were monitoring them. it was very sad. she had droopy eyes, droopy feathers, and was always cold. she was one of my very favorite babies ever….3/6 of them in the batch passed from it. i’ll post a photo in honor of herWelcome to BYC. I agree with @Debbie292d
Starting Baldy on Poultry Cell may be just what she needs, especially if she had coccidiosis. I would also give her a little scrambled egg once a day because she may be deficient in selinium.
Good luck and please keep us updated.
thank you, we actually had a batch of our last buttons where 4/6 of them passed from coccidiosis. we sadly got it on video because we were monitoring them . it was so traumatizing and horrific. the first one who went was my favorite from day 1, i’ll post photos of her. she had droopy feathers and eyes, and feather loss on her back. she was lethargic as well but she was always one of my favorites. we buried her we have a grave with an angel statue holding a baby bird. i’ll post photos of what she looked like. since this has been going on for a while with Baldy, we don’t believe she has coccidiosis but will take all the advice of administering vitamins etc that have been given to us in this forum. this was little babyWelcome to BYC.
