I’ve seen different things online regarding the withdrawal... some seem strict about it and others say to just not sell them or give them away.
We are using the Safe Guard Dewormer for Goats 10% Suspension. Would you be able to advise on the best/easiest way to administer the meds?
There is a low dosage protocol that does not require withdrawal but is time consuming to administer.
The standard treatment for roundworms is 15 mg/Kg.
I dose birds individually. I weigh them (in Kg) then put the dose in a small piece if bread and they eat it without issue. Each bird is dosed away from the others because they all try to steal the bread. One drop of well shaken 10% Safeguard is about 5 mg of fenbendazole.
If the bird weighs 2.3 Kg, the dose would be 11 drops. You obviously need a dropper.
