This is the netting I bought recently. My pens are 200'x60'. I had a piece of netting to replace a portion of the crappy netting but not enough to go completely go across so I bought this 150'x25' piece. Going to put it up today.

That is some substantial realestate for more then one run of the 200'X50' netting factor. I'm going to guess you have like 5+ acres?

Yes, we have several acres. These are the pens. They are totally covered with netting because of predators in the past.

Wow. I took a look a your photos. I really like your farm. I like how you have special areas for your chicks. I notice that you keep your chicks warm. I recently posted that my hen hatched today and I was concerned about her keeping her chicks warm.

I want to be able to take better care of my hens/roosters and now chicks like yours

Every year I hatch out around 200/300 chicks. I sell the extra males but grow them out first and pick out my best as future breeders.

Mama hen will take care of her chicks. Years ago I let my broody's hatch but now I put the eggs in an incubator.

ok. I will trust that she can take care of them.

This was years ago I had a hen go broody and wanted to sit on eggs so I gave her some eggs to sit on. She kept pushing all of the eggs out of the nest and just sat on one egg. I finally took all of the eggs and put her back in with her flock.
