Hello new to community!! If u are familiar to birds, then the ratio of Roos to hens is going to give u a big problems in the future I want u to know from the beginning especially if u have the Roos tog!! They will fight for dominance & this is just normal chicken behavior!! Plz separate them so they will not kill each other and give them girlfriends of their own!!! U know each man likes to claim his own heirm and keep them to himself in the fowl world or there is a fight!!Hi y'all. I just wanted to jump in feet first. I'll use the template, but also elaborate.
- (1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens......................................I am new to chickens, but not new at all to birds.
- (2) How many chickens do you have right now? 4 roosters 7 hens...I think. I'm still getting to know them
- (3) What breeds do you have? I'm not sure. My original rooster is an Easter egger. That's all I know. I was hoping for some assistance in figuring that out.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Everytime I search for information, it pops up.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Currently, I also make reborn dolls. I used to breed show mice. And at one point, quail and finches. I also used to do endurance running.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have 4 kids. All of which adore the chickens. I'm really interested in breeding my birds at some point. But first I wanted to learn everything I can about genetics, care and general chicken behavior
