You should really put one of those pictures in the "Contest Best Kids & Chickens Photp Win Custom Egg carton Labels" I think you have a good shot.
Very cute

Good to know! We're in Lebanon. Wilson county. I know I've heard of your county, but I'm still pretty new to TN so not exactly sure where that is...?

We're between Knoxville and the Smoky Mtns, so probably too far away.

You'll enjoy Americaunas. We started with 2 silkies, 2 BO, and 2 Americaunas. Each breed had distinctly different personalities! The Americaunas made me laugh the most. They are very smart birds!

My in-laws just made the move up here two weeks ago and they're living in Crossville, which I think is pretty close to you. At least closer than where I am

I can't wait for the chicks to grow and see they're different personalities. I can already tell some differences and they're just 2-3 weeks old!

Welcome, FarmerVal! I'm in Readyville- a little spot between Murfreesboro and Woodbury.

Hello neighbor! We're really close to Murfreesboro. In fact I'd say we were about 5-10 minutes driving distance from the county line.

We're mainly looking for good laying breeds, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to have some just for fun

I'm going to head over to a hatchery sometime later this week and check out the buffs and silkies he has available.

I can see the neighbors dogs being a real issue at my house. I'm almost tempted to get a really mean rooster if I start to have any issues with them. We don't have any fences up around here, and the dogs are CONSTANTLY in everyone's yard (beside their own). We're getting a coop that can be locked up at night and I want to keep it pretty close to the house so I can keep a better eye on them for the time being.
