Howdy Neighbor,
When do you get your chickens ??? I remember counting off the days on my kitchen calendar. What breeds are you getting ? I have 2 Buff Orpingtons, Bea and Emily, 2 Black Australorps,Abigail and Annie, 1 Speckled Sussex, Felicity, 1 Plymouth Barred Rock,Sophie, 1 Red Star, Claire, 1 Partridge Plymouth Rock, Phoebe, and a Delaware hen who I have yet to name. I got her in May from a farm in NJ. Just can't find the right name. I'll know it when I hear it, though. I am thinking about starting a Saucon Valley (or Lower Saucon, or whatever...) chicken club page on Facebook. Haven't gotten around to inviting people yet. I know there are at least 9 families in the surrounding area that keep chickens including you and me, and a local farm. So, it could be a cozy little club. Still just an idea though...I'll keep you posted if you're interested.

Ooops, I'm back again ! Forgot to ask you...do you homeschool ? The reason I'm asking is that I homeschooled both children through
high school and I have TONS and TONS of books that I'm sorting through to either give away, give to the local libraries, or try to sell through a spring yard sale or on ebay. Just thought I'd mention it.

Silver in the PA thread is going to be giving me some. I can't remember all of them, but I know she said there are some easter eggers in there. LOL! Facebook would be fun to do! We are new to the district (we moved from Forks Township in a cookie cutter neighborhood to 4 acres here in Lower Saucon.) LOL!

I don't homeschool the kids. I wanted to, but they really were not for it. We were not happy with their future in EASD, so we moved them here since it was considered the top district. I'm happy that I don't have to worry about gang violence here. We are so much more comfy!
