Hello poultry people

Quote:
Thank you RR I want one of ever breed known to man but space is limited.

You're already in deep...

The only thing you can do now is go out and find a second, maybe even 3rd job to earn enough to buy a place big enough to house 2 or 3 of evey breed.

Otherwise you may be consumed by chicken envy... not a pretty sight!

crazy4chics,
Are you sure she's a JG or even a standard?
Could she possible be a bantam of some sort?

I have a 6 week old wyandotte mix bantam that jumped out of the 4 foot high brooder.
It was dazed and I thought had died in my hand, but came to after a minute or so.
For 3 weeks, it would barely eat, wasn't growing in size or even growing feathers, at 3 to 4 weeks old, it still looked like a week old chick.
Then all of a sudden it doubled in size and sprouted feathers just about over night.

Mine were about 3 days old when I got them (3 bantam breeds and 3 standard breeds) and the JG were smaller than the BR's, and it took about 6 weeks for the JG's to get bigger than the others.
I have 2 Red Stars in with the giants and the giant pullets are the same size as the stars even though the stars are 2 months older.

Bantymom
I'm not sure we bought them all from the same person they were"3day olds" and all looked the same then. She feathered over as the others...just never grew...this little thing is tiny she is so precious, she has the same body structure and feathers as the others just TINY...she will live with me forever she is such a fiesty little thing. Me and DH just can't get over the size difference, we were under the impression they were all the same. No matter to us we LOVE them ALL. Thanks

Welcome noshoes!!!! I said I would only get 11 chickens to start with and now were talking about ordering 100 meat birds. I also have WAY more than 11 "family" chickens. I'm sure you'll have about 15 before long, LOL!!!
