Hello Quail friends

I just got into raising Coturnix Quail in January and I and my wife are now addicted to these incredible birds. We have had 2 successful hatches sofar and have 22 of our own first eggs in the incubator to see what will happen. When my wife and I get into a website to order hatching eggs we ask each other which ones we do NOT want and laugh because we want every one that we see. We currently have 48 birds and are working to build up our breeding stock as quick as we can. I am hoping to learn from other members here and hopefully be able to help others that are getting started as well.
Hi! I'm new here. About to get some quail hatching eggs and trying to learn all I can. When I had chicken chicks I had to deal with "poopy butt". Is this something that baby quail deal with in the first few days too?

I'm not really sure. I haven't had any of my birds get it yet. Maybe someone else in here that has more experience than I do will comment on this but I really haven't heard of it myself.

Welcome.
Both of you!

Poopy butt in freshly hatched chicks is almost always a temperature issue.
The chicks are usually being kept too hot and sometimes too cold.

I have never had quail chicks with poopy butt issues.
