Hello - question about # of chicks per breed....

Aside from this he is a pretty good guy - oddly enough he tells me the other day he had chickens when he was a kid! Doesn't remember anything about them though. Goofy!
He doesn't know it yet but I am eyeballing some ducks

We have most if the ones you mentioned along with fishercat. I was thinking of getting a motion sensor light for the chickens too. Think that will be helpful?

Baby steps. Work on the chickens first, then it will be no biggie when you add ducks.

I don't know about the motion sensor lights. As long as your coop is secure, and the doors are all closed and locked up, you should be fine. And your run needs to be secure as well, but during the day, my dog keeps things away. It's the night time I have to be concerned with.

I started with 7 chickens that were all different breeds. I doesn't make a bit of difference.
