Hey y'all and thanks for having me.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
~ I have had chickens for just about a year. I have always wanted a house where i could have chickens. We moved and finally bought a house where we could have them and I started preparing for them immediately.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
~ currently 11 (and climbing)
(3) What breeds do you have?
- easter Eggers, starlight green Eggers, rhode island reds, and silkies.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I enjoying the all aspects of becoming more self reliant.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening & reading.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have been married for 18 years. We have 3 children, 3 dogs and 3 guinea pigs. I've had the pleasure of being a housewife for most of my marriage.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
