Thank you!!Welcome to BYC !
I love this. Thank you so much!!Hello and welcome! I too, recently joined and am new to chickens! And I said the very same thing, I cannot believe how much I am enjoying them, they are so fun.
As for treats, I am still learning what they can and can't have and have no info on strawberry tops, but mealworms are totally fine as long as they are only an occasional treat, as they are really high in protein. I tried my first "treat" based on a suggestion I found on one of the articles on the top treats for chickens here on BYC. I made a single serving of cream of wheat (not the instant) and mixed in a tablespoon of blackberry greek yogurt and they LOVED it. I didn't give them a lot though. It was fun to watch them bicker like my children over it and listen to them happily cheeping while eating.

Wonderful thank you!!Hello from Arkansas! We give mealworms to our chickens for treats and they really love them.
Thank you! I have a bag of grit for them!Welcome to BYC!
If you feed treats, make sure that they have access to grit. A cat litter box of dirt from your yard (to bathe in) will make them very happy and provide the needed grit. (Be sure to get the dirt from an area without pesticides. )
