Hello my name is Jeanette and I have been a chicken/duck mom for about a year. I didn’t know a lot when I originally got my babies but I have learned a lot. I have 3 chickens and 6 ducks. Not sure the breeds a few have been given or dropped off and I ended up taken them in. I started with three chickens and tow ducks. I have three different chickens due to something getting my original girls at the beginning of the summer. I love my babies and hope to see what more I can do to make them the happiest they can be.

Welcome aboard! That first year learning curve is a high-speed one, isn't it? You've come to the right place, though. There's an awful lot of experience here to tap. I don't think a single visit to BYC has left me without something new - and often extremely important - to ponder. It won't be long before you're chiming in with everybody else. This is an awesome place to share info/triumphs/worries and even crash-n-burns. You're definitely among friends, now ... chicken friends!
