Hi there everybody -

I just found this board and love it! What a bunch of good information, especially for a "chicken challenged" guy like me. And I'm real impressed with how friendly everybody is, too.

I live in rural Ohio and am wanting to build a coop and get some hens...never have had any before, but have always wanted a few. My wife is not crazy about the idea, but I think she'll come around. We have been married for 28 yrs, have 2 grown daughters and a 10 mo old lab, Sophie.

I hope to get a coop and run done this spring...so expect a lot of questions and thanks in advance for all the help!
