I am planning on chickens for this year, never had any, also not sure how to use this forum, would appreciate any tips and ideas.

There are quite a few people around here who are new to chickens, so it's always good to start looking and asking.

There are different groups of chickens for different interests - What interests you? I know most people look for a chicken to lay them plenty of eggs. I look for a chicken of a rare breed with either amazingly colored eggs, amazing looks, or both.
