Hello thought I would just say something about myself

Ah thanks for that:D About to go and see how she is fairing. We are fluxed as to what is causing her lamless as there are no visable signs, but she just cannot stand on her legs at all. Yet her appetite is great!

No signs of being egg bound? Have you tried checking over her legs to make sure nothing is broken or sprained? Did you check her feet for bumblefoot? These are all commons causes of lameness in hens.

I think one of her foot might be swollen, but the good news is that she flew out of her box and certainly managed to hobble or walk quite a distance, before I saw her sitting down. I deliberately went up to her - knowing that she would move and she did - and splendidly, she actually did walk without hesitation, so perhaps things are getting better. I did spray her feet and legs with some silver substance that acts as a healing agent.

She hasn't started laying yet. I know this because we are expecting to have vertually black in colour eggs or at least very, very brown as she is a french breed. So, new to us.

That's great news!

. Hopefully she'll be completely back to herself soon!

Why thank you for that sweet welcome. I am not sure what her actual breed is - just that she is french and she will lay chocolate coloured eggs. She is black and grey which is why we called her Minty lol
