Hello to all...

[Sky is Falling]

My wife and I have decided to take the plunge into chickens. We like the idea of having something barnyard-like in town here in Albuquerque. I have been doing much reading on this forum and have learned much. I definitely look forward to learning more! We just picked up our first ever chicks just this morning (2 BO, 2 SS) and I figure its time to join BYC.

In case anyone wonders about the name it is because I am rather into my conspiracy theories, cryptozoology, and the like. I figure that one can find the truth somewhere in the middle of both ends, and as far as strange creatures go, who are we to say there isn't some weird creature running around that we just have never seen? Just as long as sasquatch doesn't try to have a chicken dinner in my backyard I am quite good with him...

Anyway about time I be quiet and go look at all of your posts!

Congratulations on getting your first flock! If you haven't already done so, check out the Learning Center. There are some really good articles there that will answer questions you probably haven't even thought of yet.

Enjoy those little chicks and take lots of pictures...they don't stay small for long!
