Glad to have you here! I live in the city too, although we're allowed a few hens here, just no roosters. They are always escaping from the run and coming up to the patio to say hello in the morning.
I do agree with you about the beak trimming, but I suppose you can't help that. Sounds like you're taking care of them real well!
