Hello! We are new here and to chickens

Hello everyone! I am new here (although have been lurking for a while). We rescently moved to the Joplin, MO area and were lucky enough to find a house with acreage. We have wanted chickens for a long time (even when we lived in the city), and now we finally have them! We bought 10 pullets, a mix of breeds. They are now a little over a week old and starting to get their feathers. Their little tail feathers are SO cute! We are al ready madly in love with them.

We converted a shed we had into a coop and attached a yard for them. I hope to let them free range some, but we have a large yard too.

I look forward to getting to know all of you!

Glad you joined us! Those little tail feathers are irresistible. My DH used to sneak up on our house chick and gently pinch it's bum when it wasn't looking. And the poor chick would jump and CHIIIRP!! Then 5 Minutes later...
