I hope this doesnt double post if it does I am sorry.I am an American living in Morocco with my Moroccan husband. We currently have about 20 hens a rooster 9 pullets and a sad attempt at raising chicks(1 is currently holding on for dear life after 10 of his brothers expired )In addition we have a Bantam Rooster with 2 Bantam hens Quail and 2 Pigeon Couples with 2 pigeon babies. All of our Regular sized hens have been rescued from the Poultry Butcher(Poultry is sold live here). It is great to love in a country which is still so in touch with the land and we want to raise them the traditional way but we are newbies and the internet makes everything seem super complicated.Great to be here!

Welcome. Glad to have people from all over.
First advice is to not overcomplicate it. Try to replicate what people in your area do till you learn more and tweak it later.
Chickens aren't very fragile and given clean water, good food and space will cover for a multitude of other mistakes.

Hi there,

and welcome to BYC!

Chickens don't have to be complicated. Just give them clean facilities, room to roam or a good run, good feed, clean water and enjoy them!
