Hello Nifty And staff. I've been wondering this for quite a while now, but where has the "views" thing on the side of posts gone? You know, the thing that shows well, how many times the post has been viewed? Has it been causing trouble?

Apparently they required too much to index them and everything.... so it was eliminated

Yeah, with the millions of pageviews we get we needed to remove them to keep things zippy fast. We may bring them back (especially if we can get a Google grant) but not until we can ensure they won't slow things down.

Honestly I don't think anyone really misses it. Faster is better.
