(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Not new to chickens, but learning new things daily. I was raised around chickens as a child. Had a small flock in my mid 20's and now in our newest farm got some in December and January and I just keep getting more.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

(3) What breeds do you have?
Currently I have 2 silky hens, 1 barnyard mix, 6 RIR, 1 buff Orpington, 3 Crested Cream Legbar pullets and 2 roos and 2 Easter Egger pullets and 4 roos. Yes, got messed over again getting more roos than hens.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love that they give me fresh eggs! They are pretty sweet too.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Quilting and crafts
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Happily married. Have 2 adult children, 3 grand children. I also have 3 dogs, 2 inside cats and 3 outside cats. I was a veterinary coordinator and ER receptionist supervisor nowI'm disabled.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I have been reading all y'all's posts for over a year, just thought I'd like to ask, maybe answer some posts.
